Island Players presents "Dear Rhoda" by Dave Ranney and Donna Russell

"Dear Rhoda" is directed by Dave Ranney. Donna Russell and Pat Wright are co-producers.

The play centers on the love story of Rhoda Katz and Jerry Nedwick. They lived and worked in the Chicago of the 1920's and knew some of the famous creative people of that era: Carl Sandburg, Sophie Tucker and Fanny Brice. The play comes from the letters Jerry wrote to Rhoda while she was confined to a sanitarium for tuberculosis. Music and dancing of the period are an important part of the play.
