“June Falling Down” is a feature film about a young woman who returns home to Wisconsin for her best friend's wedding and the one year anniversary of her father's death. Quirky, heart-wrenching, funny, and sweet. With 90% of the movie filmed in Door County, the plot unfolds against a backdrop of beautiful scenery. Nearly every person in the movie, from the main actors to the extras, is either a Door County local or from somewhere else in Wisconsin.
The TPAC is excited to be offering this sneak preview before the film is released online!
Actors/musicians Nick Hoover and Chris Irwin have performed at numerous events and places on the Island.
June Falling Down marks writer/director Rebecca Weaver's feature film debut. She studied theater at Northwestern University and dramatic literature at N.Y. U. Raised in Wisconsin, she currently resides in Los Angeles and is writing her nextfeature.
"It was just a story I had to express - and not only about cancer and loss, but also about friendship, growing up, and, especially, the Wisconsin that I know and love. June Falling Down is undeniably beyond independent film, but I hope that the heart, humor, and "Midwest nice" we put in shines through."
